Having finished the first year of their MSc program in Integrative Ecosocial Design, Mana and Ian presented their project reports and received a Graduate Diploma.

TACKLING THE PATRIX

Gaia University has recently been authorized to develop a non-geographical Re-Evaluation Counseling (RC) community within its network.  This experimental project offers Gaia University associates access to a unique tool with which to explore and heal themselves, their communities, and the world at large, becoming more effective in the world change work in which they are engaged.   Re-Evaluation Counseling’s global network is generally based on geographic boundaries.  However, given the pioneering work of Gaia U in often remote locations and the challenges its international associates face in finding local RC Fundamentals courses, RC International has decided to allow courses to be offered in conjunction with Gaia U Orientation programs.

CONNECTING, SHARING AND COLLABORATING

Gaia University associates (students), advisors, graduates, and regional organizers from 3 continents and 10 countries converged at Huehuecoyotl Ecovillage in Mexico recently for the first Gaia University International Gather-In.  This diverse group, ages 21 to 63, met together to cross-pollinate, council, and create an action-vision of Gaia University for the coming decade.

Grifen Hope y  Javiera Carrión co-facilitarán este viaje transformador junto al Equipo Ecoescuela El Manzano e invitados en El Manzano. Nuestro objetivo central es capacitar  y formar un equipo de educadores y diseñadores trabajando en red hacia un Chile/Planeta sustentable a través de una educación para la sustentabilidad cualitativa y eficaz. Un equipo capaz de crear (diseñar e implementar)  “salvavidas”, sitios demostrativos que sirvan de modelo para contribuir a la construcción de asentamientos humanos sustentables en sus hogares, escuelas, trabajos y comunidades.

WE WANT YOU TO WRITE FOR US

We realise that education is the key to mobilising our people in transition. The first level in education for sustainability is access to free information, to stories that highlight the very real evidence of chaos all around us, and stories of hope and positive action in the world.

We need stories from Chile and Latin America to expose to the world through our website and our links to the Instituto de Permacultura Chile. Please if you are interested in writing stories for us about your day to day experience, your work, your projects, fears and aspirations, send us a story or two with photos and we will post them on our site.

Para mi impresión!, esta iniciativa, la cual fue propuesta por los mismos habitantes, convocó a muchos Manzaninos. Se rescata pues, la importancia a que las actividades sean propuestas por los mismos habitantes de una comunidad, siempre bajo el suave guiar y apoyo de un equipo que ayude al desarrollo organizacional con una mirada mas global que aporte con conocimientos, compartiendo y apreciando el sagrado conocimiento de aquellos que han vivido siempre en el lugar.
